Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/10/2015

Number: 40

There were lot of monarchs crossing the road or on the gravel today. My wife noticed an average of 1 per mile as she drove home from work and I saw from 2 to 5 at each bus stop where the gravel road or drive was north facing and still damp from the morning rains. Flight was generally south or west but there were a few that had more of a random direction. More intent on collecting nectar and minerals than migration today.
