We have been very busy feeding Female Ruby Throats at all 3 of our feeders. The Yellow Jacket bees have been terrible, so I have been applying vegetable oil on the feeding ports which has helped keeping the bees away but not disturbing the hummers. Only the females have been feeding as I think the males have headed South already. In fall I increase the syrup (water & Sugar)to 3 to one so it gives the hummers more food for their trip South. They are so fun to watch.
