I have a male RT hummingbird perched on my dining room window feeder from early morning until dusk --4th day! He hardly leaves the feeder, even tho I have 5 other feeders hanging from trees. the other hummers buzz by, but he will not let them feed. This is amazing to me. I have never had a hummer do this. I guess instead of perching in the trees, he likes the window feeder. He seems to watch me (I leave the drapes open all day) and as I go by the window, he is not bothered. I call him Joe, as my granddaughters named a male hummer Joe, several years ago, and I hope this is the same Joe! I hope this post goes to website, I can't find my previous posts this year.
