Crossing Washington Avenue Bridge at the University of Minnesota I saw what I believed to be a golden eagle circling directly overhead (over the Mississippi River). Later that same day, I was surprised to see a bald eagle flying North accompanied by another eagle with the same plumage as I had originally identified as a golden eagle. A little research later, I was able to identify the second bird as a juvenile bald eagle.
