Non-captive larva from Milkweed plant made it to the chrysalis stage in late August. She later hatched on 08/31/15 at 7:15am. By 9:10 her wings were dry enough for her to take flight.
The chrysalis looked to be healthy with no sign of protozoa disease or parasitic flies. Obviously, she did form correctly and fly off, very healthy looking Monarch. This larva was on the plant when I purchased it from Lowes in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
