Bald Eagle
Sightings report image

Number: 1

While kayaking in Jordan Harbour I notice a very large bird dive for something in the water. I was told it was a cormorant. About an hour later I again spotted this very large bird. Having been to Florida and seen the bald eagles and observing them I knew that the bird I was looking at was most definitely a bald eagle. White tail...I luckily had my camera ready this time & was able to get some shots of this beautiful bird. It wasn't until I was able to get the pictures onto the computer that I was able to confirm that yes indeed it was a bald eagle!!! I was absolutely thrilled!!! So nice to know we have this outstanding birds in this part of the country!!! :)
