Signs of Fall
Sightings report image

Date: 09/14/2015

Number: 1

Fall has come for sure. Not only is the tree foliage changing colors, but the Spotted Towhees are brazenly coming out into the open. They hang out in the garden from late spring to summer, too, as I can tell by their song, but they hide in shrubbery and hedges. From early fall through winter and early spring they strut on the walkways and hoard the feeders, chasing away house sparrows.
