Over the last two days (9/10-11) I have visited the Second Marsh in Oshawa, Lynde Shores Conservation area in Whitby, and East Point Park and Bluffers Park in Scarborough and have observed only a scattered few Monarchs. These are all areas along the north shore of Lake Ontario where we have tagged 1000’s of Monarchs over the last several years. I was able to tag a total of three in my visits the last two days. Hopefully there is a large number eclosing and about to become an explosion!
