The migrating monarchs have arrived here in NE Kansas as I found them feeding in the maximillian sunflowers yesterday (9/14) on the wildlife area I work at. I'm sure that they're roasting in a nearby timber block, but I couldn't find it as it was the wrong time of day. I was able to tag 12 monarchs & will give it another try today! With the strong south winds that are forecast the next few days, I don't think they're going anywhere soon!
