Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/15/2015

Number: 350

There are hundreds of monarchs nectaring in the goldenrod on the bluff west of my house, overlooking Lake Michigan in SW Michigan. I don't think this qualifies as a roost, as the flowers are spread out over a large area, but there are dozens and dozens of them at any giventime. They're also flying above the bluff, over the trees. But they're LOVING the goldenrod. This is one of the most lovely things I've ever seen.
