on short mlikweed on sandy hill. Intersection of County Rd 33 and County Rd 20 (Seacliff Drive East) Leamington ON
8 Monarch Caterpillars on short milkweed

1x 47 mm long (final instar)
2x 43 mm
2x 42 mm
1x 25 mm
1x 23 mm
1x 13mm

This patch of mlikweed has been cut with a chopper five times this summer and is due for another buzz. All Caterperillars translocated to outdoor waystations nearby.

Sixty adults seen in one hour today while looking for nectaring sites and roosts. Solidago is blooming and is being utilized for nectar by Monarchs adults (some showing wear)

These will be late Sept and early October Adults if successful.
My last in copula pairs photos were on 2 September 2015 when i spotted two paris.)
