Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/15/2015

Number: 11

Some of our guests and their offspring continue to stay with us--18 feeders are in the habitat and all feeders active. I've observed necturing from the following flowers today: Fuchsia Gartenmeister Bonstedt,
Dicentria Scandens, Clematis Ragouchi, Obedient Plant, Phlox, Black and Blue Salvia. Almost 80 degrees, sunshine, breeze 10-15 mph--lovely day to pack on ounces :) Late season guests are more apt to share feeders--3 to 5 hummers at a feeder and perching sites. There are a lot of dual practice flights, next to one another, going high into the air, and aerial games from the feeders to the overhanging tree branches. In 2014 our last guest left September 26th.
