Mid-day; sunny. One larva observed, probably fifth instar, on common milkweed plant in abandoned field northeast of the First Baptist Church at 539 Jacksonville Road, east of Bellefonte, PA. Numerous other common milkweed plants are in the vicinity and other butterflies (Monarchs and other kinds) are flying nearby.
