I saw the first Monarch about 8:30am. I suspect it was one of the Monarchs that were stuck here overnight due to the strong Southerly winds yesterday. This Monarch circled the yard once than flew up and away. Unfortunately the winds today are still from the South but not nearly as strong as yesterdays wind. Today it is hot and humid, in the mid 80s.
The second Monarch has been feeding on New England Aster all morning. She is at the Asters I planted on the boulevard. I think she is probably a hold over from yesterday. I've attached a picture of her.
