A male monarch was flying around my garden this morning for only about ten minutes feeding on zinnias and milkweed and vincas. It looked quite dark and healthy so am not sure how far it had traveled. The weather was rather cool, in the mid seventies with a strong breeze from the northwest and the sun was shining. It headed in a southwesterly direction when it left my yard.
