Summary of the last 2 weeks here in northwestern Wisconsin:
8/30 Lots of Monarchs at Standing Cedars nature preserve.
9/3 10 monarchs at big lake in area where lots of caterpillars used to roam.
9/5 2 dozen monarchs @ big lake ///3 dozen on back hills here
9/7-11 monarchs emerge from big lake chrysalides
9-11 2 monarchs at big lake/ 2 monarchs on back hills
9/13 about 18 monarchs on back hills.....later hatch than big lake
9/14-9/16 continuing new emerges in "the hollow" and back hills; saw about 8 at kennedy park,northeast of here........so 12 in all
9/17 Rain all day. North wind predicted tomorrow should move monarchs out. Still saw one caterpillar two days ago.
