Two friends and I were bird watching at the Ohkah Owingeh Fishing Lakes and discovered a monarch flying around some milkweed plants on the edge of the biggest pond. It didn't stay put long enough for me to get a picture, but we all saw it clearly enough to identify it as a monarch.
