Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 08/25/2015

Number: 6

We were able to successfully care for 2 of the larva that we found on the milkweed in our field. The others were large when we spotted them and we think they went off to build their chrysalis. They both have since hatched out as monarch butterflies and have been flying around the field the past 2 days. Have also observed 6 adult monarchs within a 10 mile radius of our home in Middlesex ny on 9/17/15.
