I walked across the road from my property to check for monarch butterflies in a huge field of goldenrod/purple asters and other field flowers.
It was 11AM - Sunny/Clam - 70 degrees.
Immediately, I spotted three butterflies. All busy as butterflies! They were visiting flower after flower. They were so fast, that I could not get a decent photo or two.
Then I walked further on the field trail and counted 10 more!
I'm sure there must have been more butterflies in this large area, but I was not able to reach the far ends.
