Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 09/17/2015

Number: 2

(note adult male RT reported in adult males also)
One male and one immature sighted on flowers--male hit virtually every red penta flower I had today (6 good sized plants) and some of the pink flowered ones. He also went over the russian sage and tried the last few black and blue salvia blooms. The immature tried the pentas and then went to some blue salvia. Also both the male and immature hit the white althea flowers (large 30+ year old rose of sharon bush). They did go on to the feeders but only after they had exhausted the flowers. I do not have as many flowers this year due to a drought in Aug and Sept.
The immature also briefly tried the nepeta walker's low blooms.
