Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/17/2015

Number: 3

What a delight to see the huge migrating Monarchs, who seem in no hurry as they flutter along. It's a great sign to be able to see so many more of them this fall, since last fall we didn't see more than one or two total.
We released Monarchs after they emerged this month, and that was an incredible event to witness. Our first time doing this!
Since I've planted Milk Weed plants , Joe Pye Weeds, and other Monarch loving plants, we hope to find chrysalis in our gardens next late summer, and protect them as they develop to maturity.
How encouraging it is to know so many others are also helping these gorgeous treasures of the skies to survive.
