Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 09/11/2015

Number: 8

It seems like the Monarchs are running behind in getting generations completed. I still have eight chrysalis in various development stages and also have at least 7 larvae still chomping on milkweed. Most of the larvae should be changing to the chrysalis stage in a few days, but several are small (about 1”) Bismarck had its first frost this morning, but a lite one. It has been a good year in my yard for Monarchs. I know I have hatched at least 21 that I know of and you never find them all. And, have at least 15 that should hatch if conditions are right for the next three weeks.
