This hummingbird appears to be an adolescent. Haven't seen adult Ruby Throat for a couple weeks. There were two adult females for a while, but gone now. I still have feeders up, and the one I have been seeing even this morning has been feeding from feeders, and also my flowers still blooming. I always only have an adult male and female and then some little ones. Never the mass numbers. I have two feeders in front yard facing South, and four feeders in back facing north which gets lots of sun during afternoon and shade later. I had male who feed fast and flew in tree to guard his turf, and a female who leisurely feed at all four feeders. They loved the Cardinal Flowers. will miss them.
