Observed Monarchs roosting on the nights of 9/16/15 and 9/17/15 in our River Birch and Maple trees. We videotaped the gathering on 9/17/15. The yard was filled with fluttering Monarchs from 7:15PM until dark at 8:00PM, during which time they developed small roosts. We have never seen anything like this before!
