Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 09/16/2015

Number: 20

the large numbers of ruby throated hummingbirds is not typical for this late in the year but we are sure enjoying them locally. See 20 to 30 most days! still have a small number of adult males also. the one in the picture was here for at least 3 days - I called it whirligig as it only had 1 tail feather and when it hovered at the flowers the lone feather would twirl in a circle :)
