I can tell hummingbirds are migrating south because I see many new ones daily and they are really eating a lot from my feeder. They seem to feed for much longer and then they fly away and I never see that particular hummingbird again. My regular hummingbirds are still around and feed from my feeder early in the morning and spend the afternoon eating at my Lantana and fuel up at the feeder in the evening.
