Saw one big monarch flying through Green Valley Park along the New River around 3 PM today. It was moving westwards at a leisurely pace over fields of Goldenrod, New England Aster, and other flowers beside the river, and sticking close to the ground but not stopping long enough to feed so I wasn't able to get a picture or determine whether it was a male or female.
