I witnessed two hummingbirds this morning nectaring from wild flowers along a creek. Both birds were either juveniles or females as neither had the ruby throat. They were used to human presence as both birds were less than a metre from where I was watching them. The weather was chilly today and it is time these two birds picked up some speed on their southward journey.
