Holy cow!!! I was driving home from church and I saw a giant bald eagle perched on the top of a power pole right in the middle of Downtown Greenville!! I thought that my eyes may be deceiving me so I turned around and did a double and even triple take and it was a bald eagle perched directly on the top of a power pole in the middle of the city!!! I parked my car and just watched it for a while until it flew away. It was there for 5 minutes or less. I wonder if it was a young adult finding new ground of it's own. Regardless, that is something that I don't see everyday or ever! I tried to get a pic but I had turned off my iPhone while in church and by the time it booted back up, the eagle had flown away! Very promising for the bald eagle population, that is for sure!!!
