Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/21/2015

Number: 5

At the break of day this morning I saw at least 5 different Ruby-throated hummingbirds at the feeders at the same time. They always seem to chase each other even though there is enough nectar to go around. I still have 4 feeders out and flowers blooming in the yard. They really love the zinnias, agastache, mexican sunflowers and the butterfly bushes. I'm so surprised to still be seeing this many so late in the season, usually I see one or two this late in September. I plan on keeping at least one feeder up until I can't keep them from freezing anymore.
