I was looking out the window at 8:08am and saw my first Monarch of the day. It is 57 degrees with a S/SE wind at 6 miles per hour. The Monarch fed briefly on New England Aster and is currently basking in the sun on the head of a bedraggled white coneflower. I expect this Monarch was a hold over from yesterday. Today's forecast 78 degree with plenty of sun and increasing Southerly winds.
