I spotted 2 Monarch caterpillars on my Swamp Milkweed around 7pm tonight. One is about 2 inches long, just about ready to form his J-shape, and the other is about 1.5 inches long. The smaller one was eating a young, tender milkweed pod. I will leave them on the Milkweed plant, as the last 8 caterpillars I have taken inside to rear have died.
