Students in a fifth grade art class spotted a monarch feeding on the flowers of the butterfly bush near the school nurse's office. While they were watching the first monarch, as second flew over the garden area of the elementary school but did not stop to feed.
Students also saw a hummingbird feeding on the purple flowers of the same butterfly bush, as well as a large yellow butterfly.
