Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/21/2015

Number: 12

We have a dozen or more around the house daily, this week.
They are nectaring on Buddleia and Bull Thistle, primarily.
Patrolling and breeding movements have been occurring.
I have seen more Monarchs this year than in the past six or seven years.
Many are fresh in color which makes them probably local.
Others are tattered indicating they started migration elsewhere.
