While walking with my dog along the pond trail on Merle Hibbs Blvd at about 4 pm for 20 minutes, I noticed 4 monarchs flying southward and 8 monarchs nectaring on asters blooming at the pond's edge. It was heartening to see these, since I have not noticed others in places where I have seen them before in the area.
