I have started a Butterfly Garden this year, filling my 1/2 acre with different native host plants, including Milkweed of course. I seem to be attracting Giant and Black Swallowtails in particular on my Rue. I also raised 7 Monarchs and let them fly in the first two weeks of September. This sighting is specifically for four wild Monarchs that stopped by my garden around the 15th of September. I also want to mention that I found four caterpillars (4th instar stage) the last week in August.
