Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 09/23/2015

Number: 2

RT immature hummer stopped at my British Soldiers (spider lilies)(short stops) and also hit the red pentas (slightly longer stops) before moving on to my feeders. The other immature RT hit the red pentas, the few remaining walker's low nepeta blooms, and some russian sage blooms as well as the blooms on the red buckeye trees (confused trees). Both also hit the feeders after flowers. Drought here so the plants may not be producing much nectar. One of the RTs hit a couple of althea bush blooms very briefly... it too is nearly out of bloom. It is dry enough I am having to water established trees such as the red buckeyes and some fruit trees.
