I counted 05 females, both adult and juvenile in the back yard on the afternoon of the 21st. Today, 09/23/15, there are are at least 06 flying from feeder to feeder, fighting and drinking together. I can't be sure but it looks like a majority of adult females with the rest juvenile females. I believe there are more this season than in any other Fall season I have been observing. Perhaps more juveniles survived or more hummers migrating in my area for the first time? Don't know but it sure is a fun finale.
