I counted 20 young caterpillars were feeding on the milkweed in my backyard. In a few days they were at least 2 inches long and had stripped most of the leaves off the plants. The next day, they were all gone. I found one crawling in the grass and put him on another milkweed plant. This one stayed for another day and then also disappeared.
