My NE Asters are providing glorious entertainment these days! I believe these Monarchs have recently eclosed from the chrysalids I have never managed to find after a hoard of caterpillars chowed down on my Swamp Milkweed! The timing is approximately correct...and I seem to have a few more appearing every few days with mint-condition wings. Mostly females. It seems to me that for this area Swamp Milkweed is the Asclepias of choice!
