Found 5 adult Monarchs feeding on small stand of purple Echinacea in community garden plot in eastern Sioux Falls SD from 4 to 6 pm. There is a stand of trees to the north of the community garden area. They may have roosted in the trees overnight.

Wednesday Sept 23, 2015
Returned to garden from 12 to 2 pm. Found 5 Monarch butterflies (2 female, 1 male, 2 unknown) on purple Echinacea. Monarchs landed on zinnias but preferred to nectar on purple Echinacea.
