We released two captive raised monarchs yesterday and two today. My young 2 and 3 year old students have loved watching them from the time we collected the caterpillars from the milkweed on our playground to their release today. It was a sunny 75 degree day with a slight breeze. Once they emerged we sang Happy Birthday to them and wished them well upon their release a couple of hours later!
