I decided to eat my lunch by the feeders so that I could spend some time observing. After about 15 minutes, a male came to one of the two feeders. A few minutes later, he came again and went to the other feeder. He wasn't by any means plump, which worries me because I know that by now, they should be plumping up for the journey south. Also wanted to note that on Monday, my husband saw one nectaring at the begonia that hangs by the feeder. This was the first time we have seen one nectaring, even thought we have an abundant amount of petunias surrounding the feeders.
