I've watched the same females at my feeder for the past couple of weeks. One is very young and small but guards the feeder fiercely. I expect soon they will leave as cooler wet weather is moving into the area this weekend.
I've noted also she frequently flies to the glass when I'm standing there and looks at me intently as if she is imprinting my image in her memory. Hope they return next year.
