Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 09/25/2015

Number: 1

I decided to buy a hummingbird feeder and it arrived Tuesday.

Today was the first day that I saw a Ruby Throated (female / juvie?) drinking the sugar water, in between nectarine from the Canna Lilies which attracted the RTH in the first place.

This particular RTH likes to rest on the very end of a thin branch on a nearby tree. I observed this RTH from 1:20 pm EDT until 6:44 pm EDT.

The high temp for today was only 73, and it's 68 now- which felt chilly to me.
