Still munching away on tender milkweed leaves that are less than one month above ground. BOTH MAY BE PUPATING BY NIGHTFALL.
SUNNY AND DRY CONDITIONS.
These are final instar larva in excess of 42 mm at the cottageatseacliffbeach. These are part of the September partial brood closeout that have enough nectar sources to migrate in October.
