Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/25/2015

Number: 2

I think our two chubby adolescent males took off today.
We went to New Mexico and had our neighbors bird sit. They filled the feeders while we were gone because we didn't want our little guys setting out on their big journey hungry.

We had three (at least) birds when we got back on the 19th. One little guy kept sitting on the crozier next to the Rose of Sharon guarding it. this seems to happen every year. A chubby adolescent sticks around guarding a feeder.

We saw them several times on the 25th, then didn't see them on the 26th.
God speed little friends.
