Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/26/2015

Number: 23

Had 6 feeding first thing this morning on the butterfly bush at 900 am. Had 1 roosting on the wisteria bush which I had not observed before. Had 1 male roosting in the grass. I picked him up and placed on the butterfly bush. He just sat there on the same branch for over an hour. Not sure which generation he may have been. Wings were not damaged. Tonight we have 5 feeding on the butterfly bush. Most today appeared to be males. Light breeze all day with sunny skies and temps in mid 80's. We are on the cusp of peak migration of may have eclipsed this position yesterday. Tomorrows numbers will be telling.
