Found 2 fifth-instar cats and 1 ~ second-instar cat on Common Milkweed in a grassy field that had been mowed in late summer. The milkweed is in great shape, about 3 feet high, with dark green healthy leaves. I imagine there are more Monarch cats & eggs in the area, as there are several grass field lots in the same subdivision.

Found eggs in same field (reported separately).

Took cats and eggs home to rear at our Waystation 6958 in McCordsville.
