The caterpillar went missing on 9/22, I searched the area several times this week, I finally found it today 9/27 on a tomato. Luckily the tomato was firmly on the vine and I moved it indoors by hanging it on a string. My milkweed planting has done well with approx 10 caterpillars in various stages of growth.
